Creators, you can monetize on Twitch! Through their affiliate and partner programs, your community can support you in a variety of ways. Here are some highlights of the Twitch Basics

You’ll need to join the Twitch Affiliate Program. Once you’ve established your base, you can apply to be a part of the affiliate program. Qualifications include:

Have at least 50 followers and over the last 30 days have at least 500 total minutes broadcast, 7 unique broadcast days, and an average of 3 or more concurrent viewers.

Once you are accepted, here are some ways to monetize:

1.     Bits: Bits are coins that users can purchase on Twitch to support any live stream they are watching. 100 bits = 1 USD. This can be used once a creator reaches an affiliate or partner level.

2.     Sponsorship Opportunities: Do you have sponsors that you work with? If you can provide brand exposure to your audience, you can provide these opportunities. These are managed on your own and not by Twitch.

3.     Donations/ Tipping: Setup a link for your community to support you with tips as you live stream with them. Platforms like StreamElements can provide an easy way for you to make this available.

4.     Content Monetization: As an affiliate or partner, you can earn money from advertisements running on your live stream.

5.     Subscription: Once you achieve a partner or affiliate level you can earn money from monthly subscriptions that your supporters sign up for to support your channel!
